Face-to-face Workshop - Planning My Business - Watford

This is a face-to-face workshop (yes, with REAL people, in-person!)  

During the workshop there will be the opportunity for networking with the other like-minded people and hear from other business owners.

Who is this workshop suitable for? 

This workshop is for anyone that is thinking of starting a business. If you are looking to make a move into self-employment or starting up a business alongside your job, you will find it helpful to prepare a business plan.

Research and preparation for your business plan

  • The purpose of a business plan 
  • Market research 
  • Analysis of the external influences on your business 
  • SWOT analysis 
  • Templates for business plans 

BREAK / Optional networking time 

How to complete the sections of a business plan:

  • Completing your plan with the use of a template 
  • Understanding what your audience need to know 
  • Good presentation of a plan for funding applications 

Lunch / Optional networking time 

Financial projections:

Survival budgets 

  • Break- even analysis 
  • Sales forecasts 
  • Profit and loss forecasts 
  • Cashflow forecasts 
  • Funding options 

Overview:

Business plans are a way of structuring your ideas and objectives and thinking through your business idea to check it is viable. If you are looking to obtain finance with a loan or investor you will need to present a business plan. 

This workshop will allow you the opportunity to ask questions and to discuss your ideas with others in the same position as you. Talking to others in the same boat can be great for building confidence and gaining some inspiration. Delegates find they leave with practical knowledge, new ideas and often some useful contacts too.

Our number one priority is the safety of Wenta clients and staff so safety measures have been implemented across all of our training venues.

We are operating one way systems across our business centres. We will provide hand washing facilities (soap and water) and alcohol-based hand gel in areas where washing facilities are not readily available.
Delegates will be encouraged to wash their hands regularly and follow all Government guidelines.
