Wenta start-ups and student entrepreneurs in Market events
As part of Love Your Local Market 2016 fortnight, Wenta start-ups and student entrepreneurs took to the streets to do business.
Hertford’s Saturday market was host to Labtots , Pre-School science classes and parties and Hoot Toys, an online toy retailer. While Kaceys Cakes and Fab Science took part in Tuesday’s market held in Ware. Hertford Regional College’s Creative Industries students were out in force at both markets. Selling items which they had made including jewellery, printed t-shirts, tote bags, art prints and cards.
The ‘Love Your Local Market’ initiative started back in 2012 and involves a fortnight of celebrating our local markets and market traders.
Liza Armstrong – Wenta Business Advisor said “Running a market stall, just like running a business can be rewarding, but is also very challenging. We are grateful to East Herts District Council giving our clients the opportunity to experience this. We hope that this can become an annual event in which our start-ups and students can test- trade their ideas”
