Wenta Nominated for Two Digital Awards

We are delighted to announce that we are shortlisted for two categories at the 2016 Hertfordshire Digital Awards.

Founded in 2013, these prestigious awards seek to reward innovation and progressive thinking by businesses, individuals, events, charities or educational establishments. Their mission is to recognise businesses who have taken significant strides forward in their use of digital media.

Wenta is nominated for the ‘Use of Social Media for Business’ award alongside the ‘Use of Video for Business’ award.

The ‘Use of Social Media for Business’ award recognises those that have embraced social media in innovative ways, engaging clients and customers to directly and indirectly drive sales.

The ‘Use of Video for Business’ award celebrates organisations that have creatively used video footage to advertise products and services, enhance customer experience and drive public interaction.

Wenta’s Marketing Manager, Jennifer Dong, stated:

Over the past 6 months, we have taken a conscious effort to focus on our digital communications. As a social enterprise, our marketing budget has never been as large as our competitors, but by embracing new technology and creatively engaging with social media and video, we have seen some great results. We have found that these channels are limited not by your financial capabilities but by your team’s imagination, creativity and hard work.

“Our social media channels have been brought to life by using custom graphics and gifs based on our customer feedback and testimonials. We have been publishing a series of highly engaging and effective customer case study videos as well as awareness building videos. All of which have been produced in-house.”

“To be nominated for these awards is a great honour and is a sign that we are on the right track. We’re looking forward to creating more video, graphic and social content as well as implementing a new Wenta blog which will further our social reach and engagement. These nominations serve as a brilliant boost to Wenta and will spur us on to continue creating engaging and valuable online content for small business owners throughout Hertfordshire.”

Each award category will have a bronze, silver or gold finalist. The presentation evening will be on September 22 at the University of Hertfordshire, in Hatfield. Presiding over the evening will be former BBC presenter, Robin Bailey.

Supporters of the Hertfordshire Digital Awards include Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce, Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership, UK Trade & Investment and the Hertfordshire Mercury newspaper.
