Wenta AI Roadshow heads to Watford following roadblock events in Stevenage and St Albans

Following two well-attended events in Stevenage and St Albans, not-for-profit, social enterprise Wenta are running their third, free AI Roadshow at West Herts College, Watford on the 5 March, offering local small businesses practical guidance on how artificial intelligence can make everyday business work easier.

The three-part series was created by Wenta, now one of the largest enterprise agencies in England, to help Hertfordshire business owners cut through the hype around AI and focus on simple, real-world uses, from speeding up marketing tasks and admin to improving productivity without needing technical expertise.

Jennifer Condon, Director of Client Services and Engagement at Wenta, said:
We’ve seen a real gap in the market for small business owners who are trying to navigate what AI actually means for them, moving from ‘What should I be doing with AI?’ to ‘I have a business problem; how could AI technologies help me solve it?’.  Our first two roadshows demonstrated the strong appetite from local business owners for practical, hands‑on support that is free and accessible. We have had business owners attend these roadshows, create AI‑generated content, during the event itself, leaving with ready‑to‑use collateral by the end of the session.”

The first two sessions have already drawn strong interest from across Hertfordshire. More than 200 people registered for the Stevenage event, with close to 100 attending on the day, while St Albans saw over 100 registrations and nearly 60 businesses taking part.

Delivered by Wenta in partnership with Waterstons and STANTA, the roadshow reflects Wenta’s long-standing commitment to supporting local communities through free training, advice and practical programmes that help businesses adapt and grow.

"AI is already making a huge difference to businesses of all sizes, but many struggle with where to start or what's right for them. It's great to be able to bring leaders together at these events to show the possibilities, answer any questions and offer guidance where possible. For small business owners that wear several hats – this can make a huge difference in being able to get more done,” said James Bell, Associate Director – Digital Services at Waterstons.

The Watford session, taking place at West Herts College in Watford, will continue that approach, bringing together expert speakers, live demonstrations and opportunities for local business owners to connect with one another in a relaxed, welcoming setting.

Gill Worgan CBE, Principal and Chief Executive, at West Herts College added: “We’re delighted to welcome Wenta’s AI Roadshow to West Herts College. Events like this give businesses the tools to work smarter, boost productivity and embrace innovation in a way that feels accessible and achievable. We’re proud to be supporting Wenta to help businesses build the skills and confidence needed to thrive in a rapidly changing digital world.”

Wenta and their partners hope the Watford event will attract another strong turnout, continuing the momentum seen in Stevenage and St Albans and ensuring more local businesses have access to clear, trustworthy guidance on digital tools.  The AI Roadshow series forms part of Wenta’s wider Get Enterprising programme, supporting small businesses with practical, knowledge building and hands-on skills.

Speakers from Waterstons will again share practical examples of how organisations are adopting AI in sensible, manageable ways.

Attendees can expect:

  • Live demonstrations of AI tools already being used by small businesses.

  • Simple ideas for marketing, content and admin.

  • Tips on automating everyday tasks affordably.

  • Guidance on using AI responsibly and keeping data safe.

  • A free AI Action Kit with prompts, templates and checklists to take away.

The Watford AI Roadshow takes place on 5 March. Spaces are free but limited, so early booking is recommended. Reserve your free place: https://wenta.co.uk/training-events/using-ai-to-make-your-business-life-easier-wenta-ai-event
