Local Interest in AI Grows as btc Stevenage Hosts First Roadshow Session

The first session of the Wenta AI Roadshow took place at btc Stevenage this week, attracting a full room of small business owners eager to understand how artificial intelligence can support their day-to-day work. With more than 200 people registered, the event set a strong start for the three-part roadshow and highlighted the growing appetite for practical AI support in the local business community.

Delivered in partnership with Waterstons and STANTA, the session focused on stripping away the jargon and demonstrating real examples of AI tools in action. Attendees explored how AI can save time on marketing, simplify admin tasks and help small businesses operate more efficiently without needing any technical background.

Speakers included James Bell, Associate Director of Digital Services at Waterstons, and Jake from Majesty Grading, a business based at btc Stevenage. Jake shared honest, practical insights into how AI is already helping him streamline his fast-growing company, offering examples that resonated strongly with the audience.

Jennifer Condon, Director of Client Services and Engagement at Wenta, said:
"We had a literal road blockage with over 200 small businesses registered for the event and some lively discussions on AI practicalities that really got people thinking. So many businesses in the room, so much energy!"

The Stevenage session marks the beginning of the Wenta AI Roadshow, which will continue with further dates in St Albans and Watford. Each event aims to provide hands-on demonstrations, clear explanations and opportunities for local businesses to connect and learn from one another.
