Get Enterprising Client Story: Libtek Heating & Renewables

Wenta spoke with Alex Winters, founder of Libtek Heating & Renewables who joined the Get Enterprising Programme.

What inspired you to start your business? 

"Working as a self-employed gas engineer for years I developed a love for the industry and a desire to further my knowledge and keep up with the times. I then explored my learning about heat pumps and gained a passion for these; how they worked and how smart they were. I felt that I could bring about something that wasn’t widely done and be able to really tailor an experience for customers from start to finish with a small local business that really cared about people and had passion and professionalism to the job so I decided to start my own business.

"I joined the Get Enterprising Programme because I was looking to expand my business, and increase customer awareness. My 121 advisory sessions with Net Zero and Business Advisor, Mick really helped.

"I'm now planning to take on more staff and offer apprenticeships to train the next generation of installers. We hope to expand to deliver to customers in a wider area. It's great that this has been supported through this free programme.
