Free AI Roadshow Begins in Stevenage with Breakfast Event for Local Businesses

Small business owners across Hertfordshire are invited to “Using AI to Make Your Business Life Easier” — a free, hands-on breakfast event designed to help local businesses harness the power of AI without the jargon or tech overwhelm.

Hosted by Wenta and STANTA, in partnership with Waterstons, this event marks the first in a new three-part AI Roadshow, which will continue in St Albans and Watford early next year.

Taking place on Thursday 20 November 2025, from 9:00am to 1:00pm at the Business & Technology Centre (btc), Stevenage, this is not another tech lecture or sales pitch — it is a practical, friendly session that shows how AI can genuinely make business life easier. From writing marketing posts to automating admin and improving productivity, attendees will see how AI tools can save time, cut costs, and boost creativity.

Jennifer Condon, Director of Client Services and Engagement at Wenta, said: “There’s a lot of buzz around AI right now and whilst we know there are lots of events taking place at the moment, most of their focus has been on the theory of tech adoption and investment. We see a real need for SMEs to flip the conversation around in using AI to solve their existing business challenges, in a practical, cost-effective way. Our breakfast roadshow across Stevenage, St Albans and Watford is designed to give business owners practical skills and tools they can take back and apply immediately. Plus, it’s a great chance to network over coffee and breakfast.”

What is on offer:

  • Live demos and easy explanations of how small businesses are already using AI.

  • Quick marketing wins using tools like ChatGPT.

  • Tips for automating everyday tasks on a budget.

  • Guidance on staying data-safe and using AI responsibly.

  • A free AI Action Kit packed with ready-to-use prompts, checklists and tools

Guests will also enjoy a breakfast while hearing from James Bell, Associate Director of Digital Services at Waterstons, who will share real examples of AI in action and how businesses can get started safely and effectively.

AI is something that all business leaders are feeling pressure to do something about, but many don’t know where to start, or what to use it for,” said James Bell. “We’re excited to bring to life real examples of successful AI adoption, and spend time sharing actual, practical tips on how AI can be used to free up time to actually run a business, rather than focus on the admin behind it.

Steve Bedford, Executive Director at STANTA, added:
“There’s a lot of theory about AI. This is the event you want to come to, to learn about the practicalities of using AI solutions and how it can help your business from day one.”

STANTA and Wenta have long worked together to support Hertfordshire’s business community through free training, advice and mentoring. This event continues that mission — providing local, accessible and no-cost support to help businesses adapt and grow in the digital era.

Spaces are free but limited, so early booking is recommended. Reserve your free place: https://r1.dotdigital-pages.com/p/1Q3R-1OBH/using-ai-to-make-your-business-life-easier-wenta-ai-breakfast-event
