Hertfordshire Communities Foundation, Large Grants
Grants of up to £5,000 are available for projects that aim to improve the local environment in Hertfordshire, educate about the impact of climate change, and have a positive impact on the lives of Hertfordshire residents.
The Hertfordshire Communities Foundation are looking for projects that do one or more of the following:
- Allow local communities to get involved in environmental activities
- Encourage behaviour changes that benefit the environment
- Have a positive impact on the environment and individuals
- Educate about the environment and/or the impact of climate change
Examples of possible projects include:
- Regeneration of green spaces
- Restoration of local habitats
- Organised litter picking
- Community gardening (with an environmental focus)
- Forest school classes
- Citizen science projects
