Data protection: Small Businesses and Start-ups: Webinar

What you need to know about protecting your data.

Who is this Webinar for?:

This webinar does not require you to have any prior experience or prerequisites, it is suitable for business owners and people considering starting their own business.

It will be hosted by Tom Wilson-Brown who is a Data protection Specialist and founder of Aspyrian Ltd.

Overview:

There are lots of rules about how organisations have to manage the data that they use: from CCTV footage to marketing data, social media use to photography, and everything in between. These rules can be confusing and they are often misunderstood.

It doesn’t matter how big or small your organisation is, you need to think about Data protection. Getting things wrong can cost you money, damage your reputation, and lose you clients. It is vital for Start-ups and Small-to-Medium-sized Enterprises to understand how they must comply with the rules – even a small fine or loss of Business can be crippling. But putting measures in place at an early stage brings dividends in the long run. This workshop will help you understand how to do that.

This Webinar looks at:

• The Data protection rules as they relate to SMEs and Start-ups

• How to start complying with Data protection rules

• How to begin implementing longer-term solutions

• The specific challenges and opportunities faced by Start-ups and SMEs and how to manage and take advantage of them (e.g. compliance on a budget, low staff numbers, Brexit).

Your host:

Tom Wilson-Brown founded Aspyrian Ltd based on his years of experience as a data protection subject matter expert. Since then, Aspyrian Ltd has helped small-to-medium sized enterprises across many industries comply with their information governance and data protection obligations, including companies working in the property, healthcare, personal fitness, education, and transport sectors.
