Wenta team members awarded Certificates of Recognition by the British Citizen Awards, for ‘exceptional, positive impact’ on the business community
Two of Wenta’s team members, Sarah Robinson and Mick Dobson, have been awarded a Certificate of Recognition from the British Citizen Awards (BCA), for their positive impact on the business community.
The British Citizen Awards honour individuals making a genuine difference in their communities. The Certificate of Recognition specifically recognises those who go above and beyond, helping others and driving meaningful change. It is a heartfelt thank you to those who often work quietly but leave a big impact.
The BCA have commented that, "It is activities such as Sarah’s and Mick's which make life in UK communities so rewarding for many and they should be justifiably proud."
Sarah Robinson has been part of the Wenta team since 1996, working in a variety of roles and more recently as Executive PA to Wenta’s current CEO, Ed Jordan. For over nearly 30 years, Sarah has played a key role in bringing the team together and helping the organisation and its services to stay relevant and to grow. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, Sarah has been instrumental in ensuring the organisation remains resilient, including in challenging times throughout the pandemic.
Mick Dobson, who joined Wenta in 2003, has been at the forefront of providing frontline, impartial business advice and skills training to people starting up their own business as well as driving sustainability within the local business community. As Wenta’s Net Zero and Business Advisor, Mick provides expert advice and training that has contributed to helping over 20,767 small businesses to start their journey in reducing their carbon footprint whilst remaining competitive. His support has not only helped individual businesses, but also the wider Watford community too, ensuring that environmental responsibility goes hand in hand with economic growth.
