Wenta raises £300 in Halloween event for The Peace Hospice

Happy Halloween from here at Wenta – we spent the day getting all of our Watford staff and businesses at our centre involved in a big Halloween event that took place on Friday – just one of the events we have planned for The Grand Charity Challenge fundraising which a number of local Watford businesses are involved with to raise money for The Peace Hospice.

Wenta have been given £100 and have been tasked with the challenge to turn that into £1000 or more through a number of fundraising events and activities over the coming months.

The Wenta reception was transformed into a spooky haunted hall thanks to the decorations supplied by Simon at Ready Steady Glow. The event, which involved both staff and business clients coming together to help raise funds, included competitive ‘hanging’ doughnut eating, a pumpkin carving competition using pumpkins donated by Asda, sale of delicious spooky cupcakes made by Wenta client, Caketastic, and tasty pumpkin soup supplied by Hansons the Caterers.

Wenta are no strangers to raising money for good causes. This year alone they have raised over £2000 for a variety of charities by hosting coffee mornings, cake sales, breakfast mornings and dress down days.
