At Wenta, we champion women in business and leadership every day, supporting those who are starting and growing their own ventures. International Women’s Day is a moment to reflect on the progress made, the challenges that remain and the incredible contributions of women in business, leadership and beyond.

Learning and Sharing at the Women in Leadership Conference

To mark International Women’s Day, a group of our colleagues attended the Women in Leadership Conference, hosted by Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce at Sopwell House, St Albans. Now in its fifth year, this annual event brings together inspirational speakers and business leaders to discuss the challenges and successes of women in leadership.

Our team, representing Wenta’s business advice and support, business centres and senior management, joined industry professionals to explore key topics shaping the future of work, including:

  • Building strong, inclusive workplaces – Addressing gender bias, tackling discrimination and supporting women through different career stages
  • Women in leadership – Strategies for professional growth, overcoming industry challenges and making an impact at the top
  • Entrepreneurial success – Insights from women who have built and scaled businesses, sharing lessons on resilience and innovation
  • Workplace safety and policy changes – Understanding the Worker’s Protection Act and its impact on preventing workplace harassment
  • Mental fitness and productivity – Practical tools for managing stress, balancing responsibilities and maintaining focus in high-pressure roles

At Wenta, we help small businesses every day — whether it is through business support, client services, or workspace management. This event was a great reminder of how important mentorship, leadership and opportunities for women in business really are. It is something we are proud to support.

Supporting Women in Business

For over 40 years, Wenta has been at the heart of business support, helping people turn their ideas into successful enterprises. From launching start-ups to scaling established businesses, we have seen first-hand the determination, resilience and creativity that women bring to entrepreneurship.

“Wenta’s support has shown me that I am an entrepreneur. I can be a Mum and run my own successful business. I have the confidence to market my costumes, set-up photoshoots and arrange everything in support of my business.” – Louise Sterling-Jackman, Infinite Mass

Their journeys inspire us and we remain committed to providing the tools, guidance and community that empower more people to thrive in business.
