Helen has worked at the btc in Stevenage for nine years joining Wenta in 2009. Helen has worked at the Enterprise Hub Helen has developed an extensive knowledge of the business support initiatives and networks locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. During this time she has been engaged in marketing programmes such as the European Satellite Navigation Competition and other space related activities and organising events with guest speakers which include Lord Sainsbury, Lord Digby Jones and Philip Taylor (The Apprentice). Since joining Wenta Helen has become involved in the running of the STEP Programme for Herts, Beds and Bucks and the Incubator facility at the btc.
Helen is your first port of call for the innovation team who provide support and advice on setting up an innovative business, or a current business with an innovative new idea. Helen has a passion for helping businesses and providing them with an environment to grow and prosper. Helen is the Enterprise Hub database manager and manages the events programme for Wenta Innovation. Our philosophy is if we can’t help you we will know someone who can. Helen is also the main contact for the board of directors which includes some of the largest companies in Stevenage.
The events held at the btc cover a broad spectrum of themes to support businesses in all areas which are fee back to us from the clients that we see and our tenants. Several Networking groups are based at the btc and we support these through attendance and marketing. With our partners we also run one to one surgeries in subjects including Search Engine optimisation, Web Development and Intellectual Property with more in the pipeline.
Helen is passionate about football, particularly Stevenage Borough, which she follows home and away and is hoping that this year they hopefully gain Championship status. Outside of football Helen enjoys travelling, going to the cinema, playing the piano and keeping in touch with family.
