Overview of the btc
The Business & Technology Centre (btc) is managed by Wenta Innovation, part of the Wenta Group. The btc is home to a £7 million extension that was funded by Stevenage Borough Council, the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) and the Local Government Communities Fund.
The centre is conveniently located on Bessemer Drive off Gunnels Wood Road within 10 minutes drive of the A1(m) and 10 minutes walk from Stevenage station.
The btc provides a complete innovation solution to facilitate the growth of start-up companies. It also offers support to existing innovative businesses to aid them in their growth. Services offered at the btc include the 'Promotion of Enterprise and Innovation' and 'Business Incubation Support' but as the longest serving Enterprise Hub in the region there will also be a full calendar of diverse networking, knowledge sharing and cross trading activities with specific focus on the innovation and knowledge based industry sectors.
The Facilities at the btc
The new facility offers 36 superb offices varying in capacity from approximately 10 people to 25. All of the offices are available on flexible monthly leases and have access to state of the art conference and meetings rooms which are equipped with the full range of audio and visual equipment expected in such a modern building. These facilities are available for external hire and with a conference hall with a capacity of up to 100 people, a range of formal and informal meeting rooms, and an on-site bistro the btc can meet the demands of most corporate events.
A Hub of Enterprise Activities
The btc has an on-site skilled business advisory team that is tasked with building working relationships with clients, tenants and virtual incubators. Some of the support and services offered to these groups include:

Promotion of Enterprise and Innovation
The btc will actively promote innovation and enterprise within the Stevenage community. The centre is committed to working closely with local schools, colleges and the University of Hertfordshire on a variety of programmes to encourage the flow of innovation and enterprise skills and ideas from students into the workplace. It will also work closely with regional agencies, enterprise hubs and universities to offer work experience, mentoring and training to turn those innovation concepts into reality.
